In 1979, shortly after buying a run-down property in
Harrisburg's Old Fox Ridge neighborhood I encountered Annette Antoun.
The association has been less than cordial.
see: Harassed by the Herald
It soon was evident Antoun and I would never find
common ground. Our core values are diametrically opposed.
I believe in open government and the free exchange of ideas.
I believe First Amendment freedoms demand ethical behavior. I believe in
decency and fairness. I believe bullies must not be tolerated.
There are other things I'd rather be doing with my
time and energy. I don't want to do this . . . I have
to. It's the way I was raised. I blame my parents.
By entering this fray I fully expect retaliation.
Based on past experience, it would be foolhardy not
to.
Charges of racism, search warrants, lawsuits, and
criminal complaints have all been used to try and silence me in the
past. All have failed. Future incidents will, of course, be
detailed in the "Harassment" section of this site.
And to all of those (you know who you are) who have
contributed to this site, thank you. It would not have been
possible without your support, advice and encouragement.
Annette Antoun has wielded her little "newspaper"
as a cudgel over the years. She doesn't realize it, but her reign
of terror is nearly over.
The Internet is worldwide. "Central
Pennsylvania's Largest Weekly Newspaper" prints 14,500 copies
each week.
I wonder who will play her in the movie . . .
