West
Hanover Township
Antoun behind the
scenes
The Patriot-News story seemed oddly
familiar -- it had a certain 'Paxton Herald' presence wafting through
it ... full story: New organization skirmishes with forerunner over political views
"...Citizens
United, a small group of (West Hanover) township residents formed in 1999
to promote good government. The name was registered with the state ... and
has been meeting regularly in the township’s municipal building since
then.
"On
Nov. 9, (2000) a group with opposing political views registered with the
state as a nonprofit corporation under the name Citizens United for
Quality Government, then told the original Citizens United it could no
longer use the name and that it should cancel a planned open-house meeting
... "
Helen Pinkerman, the township resident listed as the corporate officer of
Citizens United for Quality Government wouldn’t say how the group
selected its name.
‘We
want honest government in the township." Pinkerman said. ‘These
people had no right to use my [group’s] name.
"Other
than that, I have no comment," Pinkerman said.
We not at all surprised Pinkerman reserved
comment. After all, why reveal to the world that you're a puppet
of Annette Antoun? Honest government indeed!
Pennsylvania
Department of State records indeed show Pinkerman listed as the chief
executive officer. More interesting is the name listed as
Secretary/Treasurer. It is none other than Antoun operative,
Paxton Herald "reporter" Robert "Flying
Monkey" Kimmel.
But wait, it gets better. The original
handwritten application form on file with the state and part of the
public record shows another name in addition to Pinkerman and Kimmel,
only it is crossed out. If you've not already guessed, click on
the thumbnail and see for yourself.
She's pulled this sleazy tactic out of her bag of
tricks before. We well remember Annette over twenty years ago
sweeping into the fellowship hall of Messiah Lutheran Church where we had
gathered to organize our neighborhood group. She
announced we were holding an "illegal meeting" since she had
already filed papers registering the official neighborhood group with the
Pennsylvania Department of State. See: Old Fox Ridge.
Apparently the only refinement to her strategy is no
longer listing herself as an officer on the paperwork. Next time she
should use Wite-Out®.
